Summary

Enhancing the ability to generate unique and useful ideas in both humans and artificial agents is a crucial challenge for 21st-century problem solving. The ways in which humans and robots may engage in the creative process and foster the development of creative productivity is a central research question that interfaces psychology and technology.

The term “educational robotics” refers to a field of study that aims to improve student’s learning experiences through the creation and implementation of activities, technologies, and artifacts related to robots. In practice, these activities can involve the use of a physical robot, may that be a modular, or robots specifically constructed for the designated activities.

The use of educational robotics as a teaching/learning tool encourages students in guided discovery, and in problem-solving. Students get used to working in groups, solving problems, finding solutions, and verifying the results. In Many European schools Technology, Computer Science and Programming/Coding are beginning to appear in curricula, creating increasing demands upon teachers at all levels from primary level education to upper secondary school and beyond.
